A Super-Light, Super Compact Platform
A micro AR pistol is an AR pistol – it’s just smaller. This makes truly micro models like 5 inch AR pistols unrivalled when it comes to portability and handling. If you’re looking for something that’s basically handgun sized (more or less) a micro AR pistol is a great option.
Something That’s Easy to Conceal
Unlike full-sized rifle builds, carbines, and even short barreled rifles, it’s much easier to conceal an AR pistol, and the smaller it is, obviously the easier it will be to keep it concealed. This makes smaller AR pistols ideal for home defense, as truck guns, and for duty in similar roles.
High Power in Tight Spaces
Another great thing about AR pistols is that they offer better handling and maneuverability in tight spaces. This is another attribute that makes them great for home defense. Ultimately, they offer better, surer handling in these scenarios.

One of the biggest of all selling points of AR pistols, regardless of the size, is that they give the operator the ability to leverage greater firepower than other handguns. The thing about AR pistols is that they are like short barreled rifles, but they are not. Short barreled rifles are often touted for their superiority with respect to concealment as well as in tight space, but the reality is micro AR pistols generally offer the same value, but without forcing you to deal with the red tape of NFA restrictions.
This is because a micro AR pistol – again, like a 5 inch AR pistol – is legally considered a handgun where an SBR is considered an NFA item. Building and carrying an SBR is a lot more restrictive than the process of building an AR pistol.
