India’s cricket team, led by Rohit Sharma, has returned home after winning the Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai. The victory marks India’s third Champions Trophy title and their second ICC trophy in nine months.
Quiet Return Home for Indian Team
Rohit Sharma landed in Mumbai on Monday night, while other team members also made their way back to India. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) did not organize a grand felicitation for the team, unlike the celebrations held after India’s T20 World Cup victory in 2024.
A BCCI source revealed that most players, along with their families, left Dubai on Monday, while some have stayed back for a few more days. The squad has a week-long break before they join their IPL teams ahead of the tournament, which begins on March 22.

Virat Kohli Leaves Early with Family
Superstar Virat Kohli left the team hotel with his wife Anushka Sharma late on Sunday night, right after the team’s return from the stadium. He did not wait for the rest of the squad’s departure.
Meanwhile, head coach Gautam Gambhir and pacer Harshit Rana landed in Delhi on Monday night. Shreyas Iyer, who played a crucial role in India’s middle order, is set to join Punjab Kings as captain on March 16.
India’s Dominant Champions Trophy Campaign
India remained unbeaten in the eight-team tournament, defeating New Zealand by four wickets in the final. While Pakistan was the official host of the tournament, India played all its matches in Dubai due to the agreed hybrid model.
